I am a 3rd-year Dean’s Honours student in a Computer Engineering Technology (CET-CS) program at Algonquin College in Ottawa, ON.

I specialize in back-end development and enjoy building tools, applications, and systems that focus on efficiency and clean architecture. I’m most confident in Java, with solid experience in C++ and C.

I am currently working an 8-month coop term at General Dynamics Mission Systems Canada as a Software Developer. My duties include assisting in the maintenance and lifecycle of software that is deployed in military hardware. This includes developing bugs, fixing bugs, and testing both on real hardware and simulators.

Previously, I worked as a cook at Riviera Ottawa, recently named Canada’s Best Restaurant Bar by Canada’s Top 100. I spend my free time programming, cooking, cycling, playing guitar, and occasionally gaming.

A recipe management application that allows employees to handle the time-consuming work of recipe upkeep.

Features

  • Basic CRUD functionality; recipes are uploaded to a local persistent database as well and backed up to disk.
  • Recipe scaling: recipes can be scaled up for cooking in volume. All measurements are reduced to lowest common denominator to allow for easy reading of volume
  • Import/export: recipe lists can be exported to and imported from a custom file format that is parsable by the application
  • Light and dark theme
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Auto backup: when the application is closed, recipes are backed up to disk. If an internet connection is not available when the application is next started, recipes will be read from backup instead
